University of Gloucestershire RFC

UGRFC is one of the biggest clubs at the university and this mainly due to the fact that we are one of the most inclusive, friendly and competitive clubs avaliable.

University of Gloucestershire Men’s Rugby Union has four teams competing at variety of levels in the BUCS leagues across the South and South East.

Our 1st and 2nd teams compete in the 3rd and 4th tiers of the University Leagues.

With over 90 members we’re one of the largest clubs that represents the University..

We have been successful winning back-to-back Varsity xtures against Worcester University, the most recent victory coming in April 2017 in which we won 39-11.

UGRFC welcomes all

players of all abilities, with the training catered to the needs of all allowing for the development of players right the way through the club.

A large focus within the club is development. Through these pathways provided it has seen students go on to play at a high level such as English Universities and the England Sevens Development Squad.
